TheraKem, LLC was founded and is being managed by Dr. Bruno Tse. Bruno received his B.A. with First Class Honors at Cambridge University, and earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry at Harvard where he received Robert Burns Woodward Prize. His specialty is organic synthesis. He has had years of drug discovery research experience at Merck Research Laboratories and several start-up companies, where he made key contributions to the discoveries of novel therapeutics in various areas, including infectious diseases, cancer, and cholesterol regulation. His scientific accomplishments are recorded in a number of patents and publications which are listed in the Founder's Bio. In particular, his synthetic skills are exemplified by his sole-authored JACS article (Journal of American Chemical Society, 1996, 118, 7094-7100) in which the total synthesis of a natural product was described. Bruno also has an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and is a registered patent agent.
